My Story
Ekram Diab hosting a Women in Digital event in 2019.
Hi, welcome to my space where you can find a bit more about me outside of the professionalism of LinkedIn
I’m an Agile Program Manager who has established her career in the digital transformation space. My passion has always been in leading and aligning multiple tracks of work to find new solutions to making people’s daily lives .. easier, better, and more fulfilled.
My story was ignited when I was 8 years old. When I went to my dad’s office, who was at that time a Sales Manager at an insurance company. While waiting in his office, I found myself captivated by billboards adorned with numbers and charts. To me, these weren't just figures—they were encrypted stories waiting to be unraveled. This was my first taste of the storytelling potential within the numeric universe that would shape my career path.

If you’re from the east side of the world, you’ll know that the pinnacle of achievement for parents often meant becoming a doctor, lawyer, or engineer. Well, for me, I went a little off of that track and joined the Business school, even though this was a departure from my father’s dream of being a doctor ( I know that he’s still proud of me!).
My professional narrative began at Publicis Sapient in Dubai, UAE. As part of the agile management team, I embarked on Omni-Channel projects that seamlessly transitioned key business operations into fully digital. Whether facilitating government transactions, discovering new digital experiences, or building wayfinding in Mega entertainment spaces to create a tangible impact on people’s lives.
As I was growing in a region that I’m very familiar with, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and pursue my career in a new environment. In 2018, I moved to join the Publicis Sapient team in Toronto, Canada. Today, my work centers on navigating the intricacies of customer data platforms and enhancing personalization through data pipelines and cloud solutions. My role encompasses nurturing ideas from conception to scale, employing design thinking, iterative testing, roadmaps, customer experience, and architectural planning to design innovative products.

Yet, my journey has not been without its challenges. As a woman raised in the Middle East venturing into the tech industry, I often found myself the sole female voice in a team of fifty employees. Relocating to North America added another layer of minority dynamics.
Driven by a commitment to empowering women, especially in STEAM fields, I took an active role within the Women Leadership Network (WLN) at Publicis Sapient. In addition, I’ve been working to mentor and speak at various platforms, advocating for marginalized groups and guiding early careers. I have been also involved with the Canada Advisory Council for Women Immigrants (CAWI) focuses on mentoring newcomers and facilitating empowerment sessions like Google’s #IamRemarkable, ensuring underrepresented voices are heard and valued.

During my free time, I like to travel and explore new cities, learn new skills, and practice a classical piano piece. I’m now practicing one of the famous pieces by “Evgeny Grinko”.
Favorite party trick: I can speak one sentence mixing three accents at the same time (English, American, Australian) 😂
